Head lice. What is it?
My special daughter keeps on scratching her head to the extent of pulling her hair just to satisfy the itch. This is not new to me because I experienced this, too. And what exactly is the cause of the rigid scratching? Head lice!
What is Head Lice?
Head lice are tiny parasites that thrive on people’s head. If frequently occurring, a person is already infected with Pediculosis or head lice.
Candidates for infection
Everyone who comes in contact with an infected person, clothing, and belongings is a good candidate. Preschoolers are the most affected by this tiny, but powerful creatures.
To the rescue
Mother’s instinct – I brush her hair using a fine comb. And voila, the tiny creatures get caught and “death” befall them.
